Who doesn’t love the taste of good chocolate? Consuming magic mushrooms alone can be fun enough but blending them into a wonderfully tasting experience through chocolate can bring it to a whole new level. Besides, it can be incredibly rewarding to make magic mushroom chocolates yourself, and it is surprisingly easy!

  • Before we dive into the magic mushroom chocolate recipes, let’s go over some things to keep in mind: Always use dried mushrooms or dried truffles for your magic mushroom chocolates.
  • Avoid overly heating your mushrooms or truffles to avoid loss of potency.
  • Chop your dried mushrooms or truffles as finely as possible or use a coffee grinder to grind them into a fine powder to ensure even dosage distribution.

Magic Mushroom Chocolates Dosage

Since the magic mushrooms or truffles will be evenly distributed in the chocolate mix, you can easily calculate the approximate dosage by dividing the total amount of grams of mushrooms or truffles added by the pieces of chocolate you have.

If you add 12 grams of dried mushrooms or truffles to your chocolate mix, and you make 6 chocolate bars, each bar will have approximately 2 grams of dried mushrooms or truffles in it.

Now, let’s dive into the magic mushroom chocolate recipes! We are sharing two of our favourite recipes below:

What you will need:

  • Your chosen dosage of dried magic mushrooms or truffles
  • Bars of chocolate (bought from a store)
  • Chocolate moulds or a non-stick baking tray
  • A sharp knife and a cutting board (or a coffee grinder) to finely chop or grind the mushrooms or truffles
  • A large saucepan
  • Enough water to fill up one-third of your saucepan
  • A heat-resistant bowl to melt your chocolate bars in

Instructions:

  • Finely chop your magic mushrooms or truffles or, alternatively, grind them into a fine powder using a coffee grinder.
  • Place your chocolate bars into the bowl (break them into smaller pieces if needed).
  • Add water to your saucepan, place it on a stove on medium heat, and place your bowl with chocolates on top of the water. Make sure the water does not get into the chocolate.
  • You will notice that your chocolate slowly starts to melt. If the water starts to boil too much, turn the heat down to a low.
  • Once your chocolate has fully melted, take the bowl out of the water, place it on an even surface, and let it cool down for a moment, but make sure it remains in its liquid form.
  • Once the melted chocolate has cooled down a little, add your finely chopped mushrooms or truffles.
  • Mix it well to evenly distribute the mushrooms or truffles into your chocolate mix.
  • Once mixed, slowly pour your mixture into your chocolate moulds or baking tray.
  • Place the moulds or the tray into the fridge and let them set for a while.
  • Once set, take them outside and enjoy your magic mushroom chocolates!

What you will need:

  • Your chosen dosage of dried magic mushrooms or truffles
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa butter or dairy butter
  • 1/2 cup of virgin coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup (raw) organic cocoa powder
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup of honey, agave syrup, or cane sugar
  • A pinch of salt

  • Chocolate moulds or a non-stick baking tray
  • A sharp knife and a cutting board (or a coffee grinder) to finely chop or grind the mushrooms or truffles
  • A large saucepan

  • A heat-resistant bowl

Instructions:

  • Finely chop your magic mushrooms or truffles or, alternatively, grind them into a fine powder using a coffee grinder.
  • Fill your saucepan with water and put it on low heat.
  • While the water is heating up, place your butter (cocoa or dairy) and coconut oil in the bowl. Tip: you can break or chop the cocoa butter into smaller pieces to ensure faster melting.
