How to Grow B+ Mushrooms with 100% Mycelium: Complete Guide

Next Level 100% Mycelium B+ Magic Mushroom Grow Kit Guide

Ready to grow premium B+ magic mushrooms? Our 100% mycelium grow kits are fully colonized and ready to fruit right out of the box. This comprehensive guide will walk you through the entire process, from setup to harvest. Follow these instructions carefully for optimal results!

Quick Summary:

  • Environment setup: Maintain 24-26°C temperature with bright indirect light, never direct sunlight.
  • Kit preparation: Remove lid and place kit directly in grow bag - DO NOT soak this 100% mycelium kit.
  • Bag setup: Fold grow bag twice, secure with paperclips, place back in cardboard box.
  • Growth monitoring: Spray twice daily until pins appear, maintain 85-95% humidity inside bag.
  • Harvesting: Harvest when veil breaks, twist and pull gently from base.

Detailed Guide

Items Included:

1 x 100% Mycelium B+ Grow Kit (1200ml fully colonized substrate)
2 x Paperclips
1 x Grow Bag with ventilation holes

Before You Begin: Critical Guidelines

This 100% mycelium kit requires different handling than standard grow kits. The substrate is fully colonized and must NOT be soaked. Contamination prevention is crucial - always wash hands thoroughly and work in a clean, sterile environment.

Select a consistent location with bright natural or artificial light (never direct sunlight), stable temperature between 24-26°C, and away from heating sources like radiators or air conditioners. Avoid placing on floors or near other plants, animals, or food sources.

For the best growing experience, follow our method exactly. If you deviate from these instructions, we cannot guarantee your harvest quality. Ideally, start the growing process immediately upon receiving your kit to prevent increasing the chance of contamination.

Step 1: Initial Setup

Remove the lid from your 100% mycelium kit and set aside. Unlike standard kits, do NOT make holes or soak this substrate - it's ready to grow immediately.

Step 2: Bag Placement

Place the grow kit directly into the grow bag, ensuring the bag stands upright with the opening pointing upwards.

Step 3: Sealing the Grow Bag

Fold the top of the grow bag twice and secure tightly with the two supplied paperclips. This creates the proper microclimate for growth.

Step 4: Light Protection Setup

Place the complete setup (kit and sealed bag) back inside the original cardboard box. This prevents unwanted mushroom growth on the sides while allowing proper development on top.

Step 5: Optimal Growing Environment

Position your setup in a bright location with consistent temperature between 24-26°C (minimum 22°C, maximum 28°C). The relative humidity inside the bag should be 85-95%. If you must use a heating mat, please make sure you keep a proper spacing between the heating mat and the kit to prevent overheating.

Step 6: Daily Misting Routine

Starting immediately, mist the kit twice daily until first pins appear. Open the bag briefly, spray 1-2 times on top of the substrate, then reseal. Provide 30-60 seconds of fresh air exchange during each misting by gently waving clean paper above the opening.

Step 7: Pin Development Stage

First pinheads typically appear within 10 to 21 days, though it can sometimes take up to 5 weeks depending on temperature and conditions. Once pins develop, spray only the inner sides of the bag - never directly on developing mushrooms. Continue daily fresh air exchange.

Step 8: Mushroom Maturation

Mushrooms will fully develop approximately 3 to 7 days after pins appear. Monitor daily for optimal harvest timing.

Step 9: Harvesting

Harvest just before the veil under the cap tears. Using clean hands (wash thoroughly and use sterile gloves if possible), gently twist and pull mushrooms from the base. Never cut them off as this can harm the mycelium.

Getting Ready for the Second Flush

After harvesting all mushrooms, clean the substrate surface gently and continue the misting routine. The next flush will automatically begin growing, typically within 2-4 weeks (but sometimes a bit longer). Do not soak the 100% mycelium kit between flushes.

Important Notes

Temperature Control: If your ambient temperature is too low, use proper room heating while monitoring humidity carefully. If you must use a heating mat, please make sure you keep a proper spacing between the heating mat and the kit to prevent overheating.

Sterility: Always use disinfectants, wear mouth masks and gloves when possible. Keep your growing area clean and well-ventilated, away from potential contamination sources.

Winter Growing: During heating season when air is dry, monitor humidity closely and increase misting frequency if needed, but never oversaturate.
