Cacao Paste

Cacao Paste - 100% Pure Raw Cacao

Cacao paste is pure, unroasted cacao in its most authentic form - nothing added, nothing removed. Made by grinding whole cacao beans into a smooth, rich mass that retains all the natural cacao butter, minerals, and active compounds. Perfect for anyone seeking the full potency of ceremonial cacao, or for healthy chocolate creations in the kitchen.

Our raw cacao pastes come directly from small producers in Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, and beyond - families working with traditional methods, without synthetic fertilizers or chemical additives. From the gentle Criollo of the Peruvian Amazon to the powerful wild cacao from Bolivia: each origin brings its own character, flavor, and energy.

Use cacao paste for ceremonial applications, as a base for pure chocolate drinks, or in raw desserts and smoothies. Simply melt in warm (not boiling) plant-based milk, sweeten to taste if desired, and you have a rich cacao drink full of theobromine, magnesium, and antioxidants.

What is cacao paste?

Our cacao paste is a solid block of ground, unroasted cacao beans including the cacao butter. Because all the cacao butter is retained, paste has the richest flavour and highest fat content of all cacao forms — the most authentic base for a ceremonial cacao drink.

How do I use cacao paste?

Break the paste into pieces, melt in warm water (not boiling) and stir until smooth. Preferably use water at approximately 70-80°C to optimally preserve the active compounds. Learn more in our blog about the difference between cacao powder and paste.
