What makes Tibetan incense different from regular incense?

Tibetan incense is hand-rolled in Nepal according to ancient recipes from the Tibetan healing system (Sowa Rigpa). It contains exclusively natural herbs, resins and minerals — up to 30 ingredients per stick — without a bamboo core or synthetic fragrances. The scent is subtle, earthy and medicinal, quite different from Indian incense.

What is Tibetan incense traditionally used for?

In the Tibetan tradition, incense is used for meditation, healing and spiritual cleansing in monasteries and households. Each composition is based on the principles of Tibetan medicine (Sowa Rigpa) and contains herbs that bring body and mind into balance. The recipes have been preserved by monastery communities in Nepal for generations.
