Snake Tepi | Hand-Carved Wooden Partner Applicator

Kuripe & Tepi
Cut from dark wood and carved by hand, this tepi features a snake winding along its full length — every scale worked individually into the surface. As a partner applicator, it's used to administer rapé to another person: you blow, they receive. The warm, dark-toned wood and precise carving make it equally at home in ceremonial use or on display.

What is the difference between a kuripe and a tepi?

A kuripe is a V-shaped pipe for self-administering ceremonial blends — you blow through your own mouth into your nose. A tepi is a longer pipe used by another person (practitioner) to administer the herbal blend to you.

How do I maintain my kuripe or tepi?

Clean the outside regularly with a damp cloth and use a thin pipe cleaner for the inside of the pipe to remove any residue. Always let the instrument dry thoroughly after cleaning and store it in a dry, sheltered place away from direct sunlight.

Which kuripe is suitable for beginners?

For beginners we recommend a bamboo or wooden kuripe — these are lightweight, easy to use and affordable. Our unique kuripes are ideal if you are looking for a special, handcrafted piece.
