This "Medicine Magic" cacao paste brings two powerful botanicals together in a single product. The base is Colombian Criollo cacao – rare, mild and complex in flavor. During production, Sceletium tortuosum extract is added: 400 mg per ceremonial serving, in a concentrated 100:1 ratio. The kanna isn’t sprinkled on top – it’s fully integrated into the paste itself.

Kanna, or Sceletium tortuosum, is a South African plant used by the Khoisan peoples for centuries. The 100:1 extract means a hundred grams of plant material has been reduced to a single gram – a high concentration you’ll notice. Combined with the theobromine from the cacao and the warmth of the traditional spices, it creates a distinct and layered experience.

Like the Natural variant, this paste contains cinnamon, cardamom, clove and native Amazonian chili varieties. Everything natural, no preservatives or artificial flavoring. Prepared in the Netherlands.

What makes the cacao-kanna combination special?

The kanna isn’t added after the fact – it’s worked into the paste during production. This ensures even distribution and a flavor that holds together. You taste the cacao, the spices and a subtle floral, slightly earthy note from the Sceletium.

This isn’t a mild addition. Four hundred milligrams of 100:1 extract per 50-gram serving delivers a noticeable effect. The combination with theobromine from the Criollo cacao strengthens the overall experience.

Use and Preparation

One ceremonial serving is 50 grams. Heat 180–200 ml of water or plant-based milk to a maximum of 60°C. Break the paste into pieces, add and blend until smooth and creamy. Add a natural sweetener if you like. Drink slowly and with intention – morning or early afternoon works best. Pair with meditation, breathwork, creative sessions or a conscious conversation. If it’s your first time, start with half a serving (25 g) to get familiar with the cacao-kanna combination.
