Glenn

Introduce yourself and tell us about your role at Next Level!

Hello there! My name is Glenn. I'm 41 and I've had the pleasure of being with Next Level for 3 years. In my role, I'm deeply involved in customer service, which includes handling calls, responding to emails, and processing payments. I also write the texts for our Full and New Moon newsletters, and from time to time, I also lend a hand with packing orders. I genuinely love the work I do here and have developed a unique connection with several of our products.

Could you share your top 3 favourite products from Next Level?

Rapé

This is a product I've been closely connected with for around 7 years and have also been introduced to it by indigenous tribes and taught on how this medicine works and how to use it. Picking favorites isn't easy as the best choice comes in the moment, but some that stand out to me include the Yawanawa Ruma Tsunu, Yawanawa Hukena and Pai Nani from the Limited-Edition collection. Oh, and I must not forget Huni Kuin Tsunu from the Authentic collection. (Giggles while mentioning it.) It’s a really nice one!

Raw Cacao Drops

Starting my day with these drops has become a cherished routine. They not only energize me but also enhance my connection to my surroundings. I've explored various cacao products, but the drops are notably my favourite. For those who've had the chance to experience my cacao ceremonies, I often craft a distinct blend using oat milk, water (to ensure it doesn't get too thick), a blend of spices including cardamon, curcuma, cinnamon, and sometimes ginger in powdered form. I forgot a spice, but I can’t remember its name at the moment. Ah, yes, a bit of cayenne pepper! I also add a hint of agave syrup to introduce a mild sweetness, but not too much!

Blue Lotus Tincture

I frequently turn to the Blue Lotus before heading to bed; it's known to spark vivid dreams and has a soothing effect on my nervous system. Beyond that, I've sensed a deepened spiritual connection, especially when it's combined with cacao. This combination enriches my day-to-day life, helping me remain connected, more joy-filled, present in each moment, and flowing naturally with life's rhythm.

What’s an interesting story or an aspect of your life that you would like to share with the readers?

Glenn in his breatwork circle space

Well, I’ve had quite an experience in my life and that experience forced me to look at myself deeply. This led me to embrace meditation, eventually driving me to attend workshops and even pursue a study in it. In this journey, I stumbled upon the transformative power of breathing. Such a fundamental yet often overlooked aspect of our lives, mastering one's breath can truly be life-changing. Breathing is like that one child that often gets forgotten, but it’s the most important thing to consciously pay attention to daily – how your breath is moving through your body. I now facilitate breathing circles in the Netherlands. While I support the use of other medicines too, (I often incorporate the blue lotus and raw cacao in my breathing sessions for a deeper exploration myself), but I really believe that just the act of mindful breathing can foster immense joy, self-awareness, and a life of happiness. I teach breathing slightly differently - instead of fosusing on the first breath in, we put the attention on breathing out at first.
