The products of Sagrada Madre are unique. This is clearly visible in the appearance of the incense itself, which is natural, a bit jagged, and handmade. But it is especially the scent that stands out: full, authentic, and accompanied by beautiful white smoke. Sagrada Madre means "holy mother earth" and is an Argentinian family business that engages in conscious farming, organic products, and fair and sustainable work. The company also has its own project to replant Palo Santo trees in their natural vegetation in South America.

What is Copal resin and why is it called the Incense of the Earth?
Copal is a semi-hardened tree resin used by ancient Mayan and Incan cultures for millennia to purify spaces, enhance abundance, and connect with divine energies. It earned the name “Incense of the Earth” in Central and South America due to its deep connection to the land and its ceremonial importance. How does Copal incense differ from Frankincense?
While both are sacred resins used for purification, they originate from different traditions and have distinct scent profiles. Frankincense (Olibanum) comes from Africa and has a sweet, smooth aroma, while Copal from Peru has a more herbal, spicy, and woody character with a touch of wild herbs. Copal is more closely associated with Mesoamerican spiritual practices, whereas Frankincense has roots in Middle Eastern and African ceremonies.
How long do the Copal incense sticks burn?
