What makes the ET2+ 50x extract different from a standard kanna 50x extract?
The ET2+ 50x extract uses an optimised extraction method that yields a higher concentration of mesembrine compared to standard 50x kanna extracts. While regular extracts contain a broader mix of alkaloids, the ET2+ process targets the most active compounds in Sceletium tortuosum. How do you use kanna ET2+ 50x extract as snuff?
For snuff use, place a very small amount of the ET2+ powder on the back of your hand or a clean surface and gently inhale through one nostril. Start with a dose no larger than a matchhead, as this 50x extract is considerably stronger than raw kanna. The effect when used nasally appears within a few minutes and is experienced as a warm, euphoric glow. Wait at least 30 minutes before considering a second dose to avoid taking too much.
Can I mix kanna ET2+ 50x extract with tea?
Yes, the ET2+ extract dissolves well in warm water and is therefore excellent for mixing into tea. Add a small amount to a cup of hot water and stir thoroughly. The taste is slightly bitter, so a tea with a strong flavour of its own such as rooibos or mint masks this well. Is the ET2+ 50x kanna extract suitable for beginners?
No, the ET2+ 50x extract is not suitable for those without prior kanna experience. This is the strongest extract in our range and the effects can be overwhelming at excessive doses. Beginners should start with a lower concentration kanna product to first become familiar with how mesembrine and the other alkaloids affect their body. Once you know how you respond to kanna, you can consider upgrading to the 50x extract.
Why should you never combine kanna with antidepressants?
The alkaloids in kanna, particularly mesembrine, function as serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SRI). Combining this with SSRIs, SNRIs or MAO inhibitors creates a risk of serotonin syndrome, a potentially dangerous condition caused by excess serotonin in the brain. Symptoms include elevated heart rate, muscle twitching and confusion. Never use kanna alongside these medications and always consult a doctor if you are unsure about potential interactions.
