The choice depends on the alkaloid profile you are looking for. Green kratom from Jongkong has the most balanced profile. Red kratom from Sentarum is fermented longer with more 7-hydroxymitragynine. White kratom from Putussibau contains more unoxidised mitragynine. Yellow kratom combines green and red characteristics via a hybrid drying process.
The colour (green, red, white, yellow) is determined by the drying method and fermentation level, not the leaf colour. Green kratom is shade-dried to preserve chlorophyll. Store kratom in a cool, dry and dark place in an airtight container, away from direct sunlight. UV light and moisture break down the alkaloids, causing quality to deteriorate quickly. Properly sealed in the original packaging, kratom stays fresh for up to 3 months. Vacuum sealing significantly extends shelf life.
