Age weedplants
A marijuana plant will not get older than one year. The plant germinates, grows and flourishes within a year and will die after flowering or seed formation. If the plant is allowed to grow and flourish without being harvested, it will die naturally after flowering.
Shelf life Cannabis seeds
Fresh weed seeds can be preserved up to one year. For this, they have to be placed cool, stred dry and dark environment. Keep the temperature below 18 degrees. It is possible to freeze your cannabis seeds. But after a long storage time the seeds, once they are defrosted, will have lost a lot germination.
Types of Cannabis Seeds

Autoflowering Cannabis seeds
Autoflowering seeds begin to grow once they are planted in the ground. Auto-flowering cannabis seeds are seeds that flower on their own in 2-4 weeks. In order to flower, the normal feminized Indica and Sativa species must be exposed to inside lighting for 12 hours directly after sprouting. They wouldn’t bloom outdoors, because the daylight hours diminish during this season.
Auto-flowering species are Indica or Sativa plants crossbred with Ruderalis, a type of cannabis that grows in areas where summer is very short but has many hours of daylight, from 22 to 24 per day. Ruderalis flowers automatically in a very short period (generally from 2 to 4 weeks).
Feminized Cannabis seeds
The characteristics that indicate the difference between a male and a female cannabis plant can only be observed when the plants begins to bloom.
Feminized cannabis seeds are genetically modified to produce only female plants. Usually, a cannabis seed will produce a male or female plant; the entire process is determined by the X and Y chromosomes. A plant with two X chromosomes will be female 99.99% of the time, while a cannabis plant with X and Y chromosomes will almost always become a male plant.
CBD Cannabis seeds
The first medical use of cannabis traces back five thousand years ago to a Chinese botanist who prescribed marijuana as a cure for malaria, beriberi, constipation, rheumatic pains, lack of concentration and for several female ailments. Another ancient Chinese expert described a blend of cannabis resin and wine to be used as a painkiller.

Germination

For most seeds their peel will break open within 48-72 hours. It may take 5 to 6 days before the seeds have germinated. So be patient for this process. The Cannabis seeds are ready to be planted when the white roots are visible through the crack in its peel. Make sure you plant the seeds when the white roots are visible. It can cause damage to the roots you if you keep them moist once they are visible.
