Practical Kuripe with Built-in Rapé Storage

The Tete Pawã collective makes ceremonial tools in the higher Juruá region of the Brazilian Amazon. This kuripe is designed with a built-in reservoir that can hold 10ml of rapé. It's attached directly to the kuripe, usually on the side or top, depending on the specific design of that piece.

The reservoir has a cap or lid to keep the rapé dry. When you're going to use the kuripe, you open the lid, take some rapé and close the lid again. No more separate jars in your bag that can leak. The base is bamboo, the reservoir often made of bamboo or hardened resin. The Tete Pawã collective works with natural materials and traditional methods.

Features: Built-in 10ml powder reservoir. Made by Tete Pawã collective. Bamboo and resin construction. All-in-one design. Cap or lid for reservoir. Handmade with natural materials.

Why an Integrated Reservoir?

✧ Practical for Travel

You've got everything together. Kuripe and rapé in one object, nothing you can forget. Handy when heading out or if you regularly change locations. The reservoir is large enough for multiple applications.

✧ Dry and Protected

Rapé attracts moisture. The reservoir with lid keeps rapé drier than an open jar or pouch. Especially in humid environments, this makes a difference. The rapé stays powdery longer and clumps less quickly.

Use and Care

Fill the reservoir with rapé through the opening. Use the kuripe as usual. Rinse the kuripe tubes after use, but keep water away from the reservoir if it still contains rapé. Empty the reservoir regularly to clean and add fresh rapé. Dry all parts completely. Resin and bamboo are sensitive to extreme humidity, so store in a dry place.

How much rapé fits in the built-in reservoir of this kuripe?

The reservoir holds 10ml of rapé powder, sufficient for multiple sessions. The reservoir is attached directly to the kuripe and has a cap to keep the powder dry. You no longer need to carry separate jars — everything is in one instrument.

Who makes this kuripe with storage compartment?
