Copelandia Cyanescens, also known as Hawaiian Copelandia, is known for its potency, vibrant visuals, and energetic psychedelic experience. This fungus is believed to have been introduced to Hawaiian islands in the early 1800s from where it gained its nickname Hawaiian Copelandia, although originally it has been brought from Asia. It can also grow on dead grass and moss and can be found in multiple regions all around the globe.
Along at least 180 types of hallucinogenic mushrooms, Copelandia Cyanescens mushroom is so far the most potent of them all. This particular fungus is said to contain around 4-5 times more hallucinogenic compounds than the other more commonly used mushroom, psilocybe cubensis. What’s interesting about the Copelandia mushroom is not only its incredible strength and potency but also the way it gets absorbed in the body that results in a different experience, taking effect faster and resulting in a smoother “trip”.
Since psilocybin is a compound that needs to be broken down and converted into psilocin, with the regular psilocybe cubensis the onset can take longer and the experience can come in waves as it contains more psilocybin than psilocin. Copelandia Cyanescens, however, contains less psilocybin and more psilocin, meaning, the body needs to be doing less work converting the molecules, and you can start experiencing the trip sooner, smoother, and with more energy available.
Even though these mushrooms grow rather slim and short, do not underestimate their potency. Given the fact that they are at least 4 times stronger than Psilocybe Cubensis, you will also need to adjust the dosage and use a smaller amount to achieve the same effect. If 3 grams of dried Psilocybe Cubensis mushrooms can ensure a “normal” trip, you’ll need to reduce this amount 4-5 times. Some people report even just 1 gram of this potent mushroom to be too much, while others say that 1,5-2 grams would be an optimal dose. Start small, experiment with dosage, and stay safe! Even though magic mushrooms cannot be overdosed, there are still risks involved. Be aware of your mental health, mindset, and the environment in which you take magic mushrooms. Check your local laws as psychoactive mushrooms are prohibited in many countries around the world. Ideally, have a friend or a professional trip sitter with you to ensure more comfort and safety.
