Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma Lucidum), also known as the Japanese Lacquer Mushroom, is a unique product in the world of fungi. It is recognised for its impressive properties, which have sparked interest across a range of cultures and scientific fields. Notably, it contains polysaccharides and triterpenes, components that are part of its natural makeup.
Our Extraction Process
The Reishi mushrooms used for our capsules are cultivated with great care in the plantation located in Qingyuan Province, which is known as China's "mushroom city". It also has the reputation of being one of the best ecological environments in the country. Our supplier, a leader in mushroom cultivation technology, has led exports to Europe and the US for over 15 years. Every aspect of the growth conditions, including temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide levels, light intensity, and nutrient availability, is closely monitored to ensure optimal growth.
The reishi mushrooms are cultivated on basswood tree bark. The wood is cut into 30cm sections and sterilized using hot steam. These sections are placed in plastic bags, and under sterile conditions, reishi mushroom spores are introduced to this wooden substrate. When given the right heat and moisture conditions, the spores grow and spread on the nutritious basswood. After four months of careful cultivation, the reishi spores are moved to a growing base where temperatures are maintained around 25°C. The reishi is planted just below the soil surface and grows into mature mushrooms over the subsequent three months. These mature mushrooms are then harvested between August and October each year.
