This water based extract is made with a native caapi variety from the southern Brazilian Amazon called Ourinho. Ouro is Portuguese for gold and -inho is diminutive, so it means little golden because of its yellow color of the inside of the vine. It was the favorite variety of Mestre Raimundo Irineu Serra, the founder of the Santo Daime religion.

About our Caapi
Our extracts are made mostly from wild vine by our caboclo (local forest dwellers, usually a mixture of decedents of rubber tappers and indigenous) partners. We have an agreement and project with our partners for replanting for what is taken out of the forest. Also we leave the roots in the ground what makes the vine regrow in a reasonably short time span.
Banisteriopsis caapi is a South American vine of the family Malpighiaceae. The extract is made with clean water and freshly harvested Caupuri Caapi. When the Caapi liana is used fresh, the product is superior to the use of dried Caapi.
The Caapi is an ethnobotanical herb and is for research purposes only.
